  • Our area

A sense of community and great views!

A scenic 40-minute drive south from Edinburgh, brings you to Eddleston, a tree-lined village nestled into the western edge of the Moorfoot Hills.

Though we are rural in setting, the close proximity of Peebles to the south means we have easy access to a great range of great facilities nearby.

Eddleston Community Council represents the area along the A703 from Leadburn, through Waterheads and Eddleston to Cringletie.

Home of the Great Polish Map of Scotland

Eddleston is the only community council to have an entire physical relief map of Scotland within our boundary.

With restoration work recently completed, the Map was officially re-opened by the Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism & External Affairs in April 2018.
